QJS 27 Step Duct Cleaning Procedures

 

  1. Test and inspect furnace and air system
  2.  Protect walls and floors
  3.  Turn off system
  4.  Inquire of air balancing and mark dampener
  5.  Create access point in hot air trunk
  6.  Pre-inspection of hot air system
  7.  Protect coil and furnace with air bag
  8.  Connect suction to hot air trunk (create negative air)
  9.  Clean individual vents
  10.   Adjust air flow for balancing of system
  11.  Using compressed air (and negative air) blow out individual vents throughout house
  12.  Using air snake, whips or brushes clean hot air trunk
  13.  Send reverse blowing skipper ball up individual hot air trunk for additional cleaning
  14.  Post inspection of hot air system
  15.  Create access point to cold air return
  16.  Pre-inspection of cold air return
  17.  Connect suction to cold air return
  18.  Using compressed air (and negative air) blow out individual cold air return throughout house
  19.  Using air snake, whips or brushes clean cold air return trunk
  20.  Post-inspection of cold air return
  21.  Remove filter
  22.  Clean furnace compartment
  23.  Replace filter (clean reusable or replace old or upgrade)
  24.  Inspect cold air return trunk
  25.  Inspect and adjust dampener
  26.  Seal up system
  27.  Turn system on and test
